President's Alpine Slide

Enjoy the most exhilarating ride in the Black Hills! President's Alpine Slide offers 2,000 feet of sensational family fun. Riders control the speed of their individual sleds and small children may ride with adults. You can take a slow and easy ride down through the beautiful terrain, or go at a faster pace for action-packed excitement on the dips and high-banked turns.

Finish your meal with a delicious ice cream treat, as you stroll along the pathways lined with flowers and waterfalls. Find each of the many lookout points, for panoramic views of awesome granite formations, historic mines and the town of Keystone below.
President's Alpine Slide When you're ready to descend, grab a sled and get ready for a breathtaking experience on the twisting, turning President's Slide. Or if you prefer, ride back down on the chairlift and enjoy watching the sliders and the spectacular scenery below.

 

The President's Slide, located about 2 1/2 miles from Mount Rushmore, offers vacation fun for the whole family. The alpine slide is accompanied by a sight-seeing chairlift offering a scenic view of historic Keystone and a unique view of the presidents at Mount Rushmore. Those vacationers not feeling quite so adventurous can ride the chairlift back down. Small children can experience this thrilling Black Hills attraction by riding down the alpine slide with a parent, thereby providing the whole family an adventure of a lifetime.

Chairlift ride only (round-trip, up to the summit and back down on the chair lift):
$7.00 (6 years and under $2.00)

Slide rides (round-trip, up on the chair lift and down on the alpine slide):
$9.00 One ride
$40.00 Package of 5 rides ($8 per ride)
$60.00 Package of 10 rides ($6 per ride)

Children 6 and under $2.00 and must ride in a sled with an adult.
(A 'package' of tickets may be used by one rider or divided among a family or group; also, the tickets may be used on different days/separate visits.)

No reservation required.
